"If you don't stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."
Feet stumble as girls crawl into their sleeping bags, too exhausted to watch any more movies.
They're worn out, and they want rest.
Our lives are a lot like that. Sometimes we're in the middle of a storm, and we stumble along, not seeing that God is our Resting Place.
We barely can pick up our feet to continue on this crazy journey called "Life". We feel like we can't do this, and that no one understands.
I'm reminded of how our Savior walked up to the place He would die. He had been beaten, He had been mocked.
He didn't stop, even though He knew what was to come. He loves us, and wants us to rest in Him.
When we try to go through life on our own, we soon find ourselves tired, unable to go on. Once we realize He is our Rest, we will no longer stumble.
We will stand firm.
Today, friend, I invite you to come to Him and rest. Come to Him and lay your burdens down, and never pick them up again.
He is waiting with widespread arms.
Check out this blog post about a new book–it talks on only needing the approval of God!
